The foundation of our faith is God’s inspired scriptures, the Bible. Yet, there can be so many questions that we can hear, and have ourselves, about the Bible. Isn’t it unreliable since it was written so long ago? How do we know that what was written back then is really what we are reading today? What about the stuff in it that is really weird? What about the things that are offensive and regressive? Isn’t it better to have faith and spirituality and not be tied to a book?
This Sunday we will be looking at these questions and seeing how we can now that the Bible can be trusted historically, culturally and personally. If you have a friend or family member who has questions about the faith, this could be a great time to invite them to join us either online or at our outdoor service at Front and Mifflin.
Also, please note that our Sunday morning prayer meeting is now in person at our outdoor location. We start praying at 9am.

Call to Worship
The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds. The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. – Psalm 33:13-22

All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever. (1Pe 1:24-25 ESV)
