Hi Friends,

This Sunday we are kicking off the series that our pastors in training and pastoral interns are going to be doing called “Values”.  We’ll get back into our regular series “Luke: Jesus Unfiltured” the following week.  I’m really excited for us to get into this other series though as we look at the things that are important to us and that we want to continue to shape our church culture.  This week we’ll be looking at the value that informs every other value that we hold: Gospel Centrality.  That’s not a buzz word for us, but a deeply held theological conviction.

See you on the best day of the week!

Catechism Question 2 What is God?

Answer:  God is the creator and sustainer of everyone and everything. He is eternal, infinite, and unchangeable in his power and perfection, goodness and glory, wisdom, justice, and truth. Nothing happens except through him and by his will.

Psalm 86:8–10

There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.

Exploring Christ Church Class

This class pops the hood of our church and takes a look at the engine that drives us.  Whether you want to become a church member, or are just curious about who we are, this class is a great opportunity to learn more about what the Bible teaches us about the local church and how we apply that here at Christ Church.  Classes are on March 24th and 31st immediately following our Sunday Service. Lunch and child care are provided. Sign-up online at http://christchurchsouthphilly.org/card/exploring-christ-church-class/

Benediction

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. (Heb 10:19-23 ESV)
