Hi friends,
This past Sunday I used various scriptures in the sermon to illustrate the promise of God’s presence that is meant to produce fearless faith. I’m sure there will continue to be temptations to fear in the coming days and so as you fight those temptations, I’d encourage you to direct your hearts to God.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Psa 23:4 ESV)
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psa 27:1 ESV)
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isa 41:10 ESV)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (Joh 14:27 ESV)
So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” (Heb 13:6 ESV)
Grace and peace,
Pastor Jeff
