Christ Church Sunday Service Preview

Hi Friends,

We’ve got another great Sunday planned for this week! We are going to be continuing in our series called, “Resolved to Grow: 6 things that will change your 2020.” This week we are going to be looking at growing in prayer. I am super excited about this topic. I can’t even begin to imagine what God will do if we all committed to growing in prayer this year. Also, I’m excited because Pastor Steve Huber is coming in to preach. If you don’t know who Steve is, he is kinda the Yoda of church planting in Philadelphia (I’m a Star Wars geek, what can I say). Steve started Liberti church 17 years ago and that church has since gone on to plant 10 other churches in the Philadelphia area that make up the Liberti Church network. This is the network that we partner with for Easter Outreach where we are part of giving out thousands of meals across the city. Steve is a really humble, genuine and sincere man who is passionate about Jesus. I’ve been very blessed through my friendship with him and I know that you are going to love hearing from him.

So this is definitely not a Sunday you’ll want to miss! And it would be a great time to invite a neighbor, since we are doing our Second Sunday lunch after church.

Sunday Morning Equip Class

There are questions that we can have, or that can be asked of us, that can set our mind into all kinds of disarray. Questions like, how could a loving God allow so much suffering, or isn’t Christianity homophobic and hasn’t science disproven Christianity? But what if these hard questions for the Christian faith were all actually sign posts leading the way into a deeper experience of faith? Come out to this class as we seek to explore hard questions and see how they lead us to Christ. The class will run from 8:45am-9:30am on Sunday mornings and child care will be provided. Kirkbride ESL Classes

Our new semester of ESL classes and homework help at Kirkbride School begins on January 28 and runs for 10 weeks. Classes are held from 3:15-5:00pm on Tuesdays at the school. We will end on March 31, which is the week before Spring Break. All you need in order to help is your volunteer clearance paperwork. No experience necessary either to teach adults beginner English or to help students with homework. Please join us! Jude Women’s Bible Study

Second Sunday Lunch

Today, after our Sunday Service we will be having our monthly church luncheon. This is a great opportunity for us to continue to build relationships together as a church community. Food will be provided. If you are able, we ask for a $5 donation per person of $10 per family to help us offset the cost.
